Crafts hewn in her studio near Seattle are often inspired by nature; those she discovers across the globe speak of her passion for culture, history and beauty.

This blog chronicles Kelly’s discoveries in nature, food and art. She delights both in sharing her knowledge and helping others perceive the world with new eyes by providing easy, hands-on projects.
Kelly has always viewed life from a unique vantage.
In her early 20s, she browsed the famed, open-air Pike Place Market in historic Seattle every Saturday morning. There, she was surrounded by the bustle and beauty of farmers selling luscious fruits and vegetables to crowds of locals and tourists, many speaking wondrous and unknown languages. Meanwhile, international crafters hawking enticing wares — textiles, pottery and jewelry — awoke in Kelly an appreciation of other cultures.
She matured to study costume design and business, own her own clothing company, sell hand-painted pottery and write about arts and crafts. Today, she owns KSL Designs, through which she creates gorgeous websites for small companies.
But Kelly’s quest to unfold the art that exists in everything she touches, tastes and experiences is never-ending and must find expression somewhere.
